2023 Fall Baseball Preview: Union City Tigers
The Tigers have a good mix of veterans and youth as they look to make a run at the State Tournament
It’s hard to believe that the 2023 Fall Baseball Season is almost upon us, but that is the case as August 7 is the official start of the regular season.
Here at Sooner State Baseball Report it is our goal to provide as much coverage as we can. One way we are trying to do that is preview as many teams as we can before the start of the season.
We’ve sent out a questionnaire to many of the teams that play fall ball in hope that they will give us an honest outlook on their upcoming season. We’ve had a few responses so far.
Today’s team: Union City Tigers
Team: Union City Tigers
Class: A
Fall 2022 Record
22-11
Spring 2023 Record

Returning Starters and Top Players
The Tigers will be returning 7 starters from the 2022-2023 seasons. That experience will be coupled by some incoming freshmen that will push for spots in the lineup. So the lineup will see a good mix of youth and veterans. Leading the way will be Laven Zeler (OF/P), Rocky Carroll (SS/P), and Carson Biffle (3B).
Outlook
If Union City can manage to combine its veterans and young players into a cohesive unit, they can play themselves into a deep district and state tournament run.
